Madeline Bass serves on the Executive Committee as OSA’s Secretary. She is a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellow completing her PhD. with the MOVES European Joint Doctorate, dually enrolled at the University of Kent (UK) and the Freie Universität Berlin (DE). She has a Master’s International (M.S.) in Sociology from Portland State University (OR, USA) and a B.A. in Sociology and Anthropology from Wells College (NY, USA). She works primarily with Oromo women, focusing on practices of resistance and transnational movements. She lived and worked in Western Oromia from 2014-2017.
